(More customer reviews)First of all, we got this crib from Costco for only $30, and having put it together I can't say I would spend the $40-60 that it's going for online. I probably would have searched for a cheaper model instead.
But for what we paid, I'm very pleased with this doll crib. It's cute & pretty realistic. We wanted a realistic looking one as our 2 year old is about to become a big sister and this is similar to our bassinet which is also on wheels. The mobile & bedding are a cute touch. The wheels make it easy for a child to move around, but beware that they don't lock. The cabinet is very nice for storing doll supplies & keeping organized, plus my 2 year old loves to open and shut them all day and puts her things in there. This has been a hit with us as my daughter loves to put her "babies" to bed.
This took me about an hour to put together by myself, you just need a Phillips-head screwdriver. It would definitely be easier to assemble with two people, however, and I found it better to do the assembly a little backwards from the directions. It was difficult to put the sides on while holding everything in place. Or, put the wheels on last, that would definitely help make it easier. Be careful not to over-tighten the screws or the wood can crack. Once I had it all assembled this crib seemed very sturdy. I hope it stays that way!
The paint does chip easily, so handle it gently and beware that with use it will probably suffer a little wear and tear. The bedding is a nice addition but a little flimsy - though I doubt my toddler cares much about that detail.
Overall I would say this is a nice little crib for a toddler or young child, especially if your little girl loves dolls & babies. We will certainly get a lot of use & fun out of it!
