(More customer reviews)I had a problem rating this toy, the problem is that we had a problem with it and I just don't want to be unfair if we are an isolated case to rate it in the way it will deffair others from purchasing it so untill you get more reviews you might just try it and see what happens.
So in all fairness..
Good things:
It is quite nice looking
It has a good size - a standard Barbie-size doll.
It is Disney so it has a nice facial feature to it
It has a nice dress, especially the bottom part is substantial not cheap.Bad things:
Disney changed the concept of princess this year and went from non-jointed elbow
to jointed elbow and I don't know if this is entirely great idea.. in our case
the arms dissintegrated during I would say normal play within two days.
We have .. oh.. about 10 different kinds of Snow White Dolls between all the gifts, our own purchases and hand-me downs from people who know that my LO loves Snow White. So, from those dolls nothing ever happened except with this one.
My daughter plays most with the one that was issued last year and was available at Disney Stores, the one that was add-on to the famous Snow White Cottage Dollhouse (thank you very much she got that one too :).
That doll saw so much, been through so much and you would say it was bought yesterday, it is just so durable and sturdy being amazingly cute and beautiful and having amazing quality dress and doll face and all.
I would say that the previous models were just built to last.
You could take her head apart, her limbs apart and put them right back and tadaaa..
Try to do it with this one? oh, no don't try to do it with this one and beware if your little one will try and you betcha they will try because they are "programmed" to tray and take everything apart.
The dress of this doll however pretty is not as beautiful as 2009 model either.
It is just less fancy and lesser quality.
I had to go back to the drawing board and secure more of the last year models for my LO so she can have some mint ones for her Cottage since all things point to the fact that this toy is going to stay in the family for genearions to come. I support her love of the cottage as it is so adorable and everyone loves it big and small so we just want to make sure it will have the right Princess to go with it that would be new for next generation. I am sure that we are not going to have any issues with the Dollhouse to keep because it is so sturdy and strong but no matter how careful little hands are with the doll it will look kind of tired after 5 years of "gentle loving care".
I would give this doll no stars for craftsmanship of the body, and 4 for the looks so I divided and compromised to 2 stars. There.. you have it. This is my rating and this is the logic behind it.
