This toy will set you back six bucks at your local Target. Even at that, the price is pushing it.
The size of the doll's carrier is roughly the size that I envision an ostrich egg to be - 4" long by 2.5" wide. The doll itself is 2.5" tall. It's bulky as a necklace.
Attached to the necklace by small plastic rings are a heart, small hairbrush, and two clip-on earrings (for your child). These are very low quality plastic rings - think dollar store - they are very difficult for my 4 y.o. to manipulate. The earrings (all plastic) are very tight - and she complains they hurt.
The doll itself is very cute. There is a small rubber band (like what you'd put on braces) holding her skirt on. I imagine you can remove it to take her skirt off, but seeing as how small it is - I haven't done so. She is actually very cute and her face is well-featured. She snaps into a base in the egg to hold her in place - this base also doubles as a doll stand. Her hair is brown, streaked with green. However, her hair is STIFF - completely stiff. There's no way to brush it. We are very disappointed with this.
It's really cutely packaged. However, this toy has no staying power as there is very little to do with her. The ponyville product are equally small, equally priced, and would make a better restaurant/car diversion.
