Every hair is in place and the crown isn't going anywhere. It is fixed to endure many hours of play. Sometimes when I can't sleep I've been known to just come out admire and sometimes play with my collection. It is true your only as old as you think you are and www.amazon.com caters to those of all ages. I can trust my doll with my grand daughter or the neighborhood child who's mother is visiting. The quality level must really be watched by www.amazon.com because this doll in paticular is pretty indistructable.
