(More customer reviews)I grew up with Strawberry Shortcake dolls so I was thrilled to buy my daughter (age 4) the 5.5 inch Bandai dolls. I was so disappointed that she had little interest in playing with them and found I was buying them more for me than her!
She just recently saw this new taller version of the dolls in the toy store and we bought one... then a few days later another... then another! She LOVES the taller version and plays with them all the time and totally ignores the 5.5 inch dolls. So I have to wonder if some of the negative reviews are more a reflection of a disappointment on the part of nostalgic mothers rather than dissatisfaction on the part of their little girls - and let's be honest, the toys are really meant for the little ones (at least that's what I have to keep reminding myself!).
