(More customer reviews)In this incarnation, Barbie appears all ready to run for the highest office in the United States. She comes with two outfits: a blue suit and shoes, and a red gown and shoes (business and formal, you see). Also included is a Barbie for President campaign button, four miniature bumper stickers, two signs and a brush. There's also some literature, but I must admit that my daughter (9 year old) was not interested in them.
My daughter was saddened when Elizabeth Dole dropped out of the race for the Presidency, as she desperately wanted a woman to finally win the race. Although I am not Barbie's biggest fan, I was glad that Mattel produced this toy. I gave this doll to my daughter, and told her that this is not the last election, and that maybe, when she's a little older, she can be that first woman President!
