(More customer reviews)I have to completely disagree with the first reviewer's comments. There are many companies that manufacture 18" doll clothing and furniture. And just because they don't have the American Girl name, doesn't mean their products are in any way defective, of lesser quality, or "second rate". In fact, I have noticed that American Girl's quality has slipped a little recently, although their prices have stayed the same. And their prices are pretty darn expensive!
As a mother who watches her pennies, I would much rather get the best quality for the best price. I don't care about the brand. If you only shop at the American Girl Store, you will not only pay more money, you will be limiting your options because there are hundreds of beautiful outfits and furniture pieces being sold by independent sellers whose quality is as good if not better than American Girl.
This outfit in question is of very high quality, and is absolutely adorable! My daughter and I love it! We have several outfits from this company and they are all beautiful!
Also, there was no question in my mind what I was buying. The title says "Fits 18" American Girl Dolls". No bait and switch, no misleading. Nothing in this listing says that the outfit for sale was made by American Girl.
