(More customer reviews)I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my best friend who is an avid doll collector. The picture appeared very pretty and elegant which is what I wanted for her. The item arrived promptly and in time for Christmas, I was very pleased with the company's speedy response to my order since it was not direct from Amazon, but from Paradise Gallaries. Shipping was around $15.00 which I felt was a great price as she was packed well and arrived unharmed.
When she came out of her box, she was gorgeous. The pictures here really did not do her justice. Please keep in mind that new dolls out of the box have netting over their hair and bands to keep things in place so they do not get ruined. Once those were all removed and she was given some care and gently attended too, she was more lovely in person than she was in her pictures. The colors in her pictures are washed out. In person, her dress is a prettier yellow and her ribbons are yellow and pink which you can't really tell from the pictures without very careful inspection.
One thing to be aware of is that she does not sit as posed in the picture with her arm up. It's likely she's on a stand. This wasn't disappointing at all to my friend or myself (of course, she didn't know what it looked like before getting it). Stands can easily be purchased separately if you want to achieve that same sitting position.
Her feather wings are really detailed and well made, as are her little booties. I was very impressed with the time that went into her features and clothing. Such a lovely piece for an inexpensive price. Definitely worth every penny paid.
