(More customer reviews)I bought this for my 4-year-old daughter for her upcoming trip to the American Girl store with her older cousins. At first, I felt unsure about buying a knock-off to take to the store, but I just could NOT spend $100 on an American Girl doll considering my daughter's age. I am so HAPPY I bought the Springfield doll. My niece's have the true American Girl dolls. I put them side by side with the Springfield doll and there's very little difference. Definitely no significant difference. The Springfield doll seems just a tad thinner in the arms and legs, but not in any bad way. Her lips are more pink than the AG doll. The dolls hair seemed very similar to me, although I will agree with others about the hair tangling a bit. The hair is brushable. I gave my duaghter's doll a haircut to make it shorter like my daughter's hair. She went to the store with her cousins and ate at the cafe with her doll in a high chair next to her (very cute). You could seriously tell no difference seeing all the dolls in the chairs. She also had her doll's hair styled at the AG store. The AG store made me sign a waiver to have the Springfield doll's hair done. I thought this was a bit crazy, but whatever, I signed it. This turned out great too. Her hair styled just as well as my niece's AG dolls in the same style. I bought an AG outfit for my daughter's doll, and it fit perfectly. Don't waste your money on the AG doll. Buy this one. Also, if you buy it at your local Jo-Ann's or Michael's store, you can usually find a coupon in the Sunday paper and pay 40 to 50 percent less. I found a coupon for Michael's online and paid $8.50 for the doll. My daughter loves her doll.
