I have to admit to being disappointed in the doll. But not for the usual reasons. This doll does come with a beautiful ensemble outfit that is very high quality and appropriate for the cost of the doll. There's no doubt when you buy it that the outfit alone is worth the price. The fabric of the dress is textured and comes with jewel details. It feels and looks like silk. The outer leatherette jacket and tall boots also impart a high quality leather feel.
I'm not a fan of the honey tone against the green. Yellow skin on a green that color makes the yellow look a bit green and unflattering. Pair it with dark blonde hair, and the girl looks sickly to me.
I also wish something more had been done with her hair. The hair is loosely pinned back in the back and there is one hunk of bang left loose and falling in the front. It looks a bit odd and I would have liked more structure to go with the elaborate dress.
I was tempted to return this when I bought it. I just didn't like the skin tones at all and she resembles pea soup a bit too strongly. But I'm going to keep her and redress - or put the dress to use on another Tonner doll. The outfit truly is remarkable.
