(More customer reviews)This historically dressed doll would be a great collection starter for a beginning or young Barbie collector. She has a few cons, so be sure to read my review in its entirety to see why I gave her five stars.
Secret of the Three Teardrops is definitely beautiful. If you love Rococo styling and French Revolutionary fashion, this is your doll. Her facial screening is simply and elegant. It's not too much and very lovely. Her hair is done in a platinum up-do, and it coordinates with her gown, which is trimmed with jewels. Even her shoes are ivory colored slippers. She includes a royal blue feathered mask, which she can hold in her hand.
Cons: While the dress is removable, the back closure is velcro. The gown, which is my major complaint, is very cheap fabric, and feels stiff. However, the style is cut so well that it doesn't seem to affect the doll's overall look. The shoes are plastic, but they are still very cute. Also, she doesn't include a stand.
I still gave this doll a 5-star review because I am a doll collector. I'm sure if you bought this doll as a toy, she probably wouldn't be as pretty as she is in the box for very long. She's a great collector item, though as you can see from my photos, I removed mine from the box successfully.
