(More customer reviews)My 4 year old son received the car and camper for Christmas. The camper comes with two sleeping bags, kitchen accessories, little board games and maps, a bar of soap and even an extra roll of toilet paper. I love the details on this. The oven door opens. The creatures are poseable and their clothes are removable.
The top of the camper pops out of the joint every time we play with it. I worry that will break at some point.
I do not understand the cost for the car. The first thing my son noticed was the doors did not open. There is no gas tank either. The only pretend he can do with the car is put creatures inside and drive them around, which, I suppose, is what a car does.
I would recommend this toy. I can see him getting years of play out of this. We will probably expand his collection of Calico Critters. We already bought a patio set because the table that comes with the camper is just too small. He wants a dad in the family, so we might buy another family. I'd like to buy a change of clothes for the family.
