(More customer reviews)I promised my daughters, age 9 and 5, that I would replace their Barbie dolls with Groovy Girls when they fell apart. Even my two year old daughter plays with them. My nine year old picked his one to replace her Barbie Erica (from Princess in the Pauper). She loved her and she and her younger sister play with them frequently. She is the age now where she likes American girl dolls but I know too many girls who don't take care of them and are afraid to play with them, especially when they are so expensive. However, my daughter is beginning to learn to sew and we are going to make additional outfits for these Groovy girls. I know they will last (probably even for grandkids one day) and she isn't afraid to play with them for fear of messing them up. I also don't have to worry about seeing naked Barbies laying around anymore. And we are buying less plastic toys. Groovy Girls are a win-win in this house. I highly recommend them.
