(More customer reviews)Lauren, in the advertising photo, looks exactly like a newborn, and a beautiful newborn, at that. In real life, though she is perfectly anatomically correct, her face is not beautiful, and the shape of her head, hidden by the cap, looks very odd with her very round cheeks, with pronounced sucking musculature, but a head that looks like she's spent too much time in the NICU (newborn intensive care unit) where soft, little preemie heads take on the shape of their beds. Looking at the photo, I'd buy her in a moment; holding her in my arms, she is not "lovely" Lauren, really only looking "right" with the pacifier stuck in her mouth.
However, she's soft and would be great as an educational toy, easy to cuddle and talk about body parts to young siblings.
