There is also enough room for our 18 month old daughter to ride along and they both love to terrorize our street. The battery life is quite long, even with the weight of two children riding. The car has a forward and reverse shifter, which has a "governor" screw that keeps the car from moving too quickly in the forward setting. This was helpful with keeping the car under control as your child learns to "drive." Once she becomes comfortable with the car, unscrew the governor and the speed of this little car is impressive. Just be ready to jog after your child as she drives!
The car is well built and durable. The battery seems to hold a charge very well and will power this little car for hours. We really enjoy watching our little girls go for road trips and I think you'll be pleased if you buy one for your child. The video is not so much a review but should give you a sense of how powerful the car is and how quickly it can go. It also illustrates how much our daughter is enjoying her car.
