(More customer reviews)I'll update the review once my daughter gets to play with this after Christmas, but for now I thought I would warn everyone that this arrives in the retail packaging with the shipping label on it. Therefore, if the UPS guy comes while you are picking your kids up from school, guess what will be on your front porch when you get home?
Screams of joy were coming from my daughter as we got out of the car, so I guess it's a big hit, but it did kind of ruin the surprise. The seat on the stool comes off so she can hide her treasures in there. The whole set took
Update: My daughter has yet to really play with this much, but she does put her Barbies to bed all over the castle vanity, and uses the stool all over the house. We prefer the Mattel Barbie 3-Story Dream House Playset because it is so much bigger, but this was a wonderful addition to her Barbie playsets, and nothing has broken on it yet. It took about 45 minutes to set up, and I liked the fact there were no stickers to put on. We are huge fans of Barbie and the Island Princess, so this makes a great home for her Rosella Barbie doll.

Everyone knows that little girls love to dress up their Barbie dolls for a date with Ken, a night out with girlfriends, or to just go shopping. Now those same girls can ready themselves instead at this Island Princess vanity. At 32" tall, it's the perfect size for a young girl to sit down in front of using the included stool, and the various secret compartments, hidden treasures, and centered mirror will provide hours of entertainment.
Inspired by the 2007 fall release of the Barbie as The Island Princess DVD movie (in which Barbie takes on the role of Princess Rosella), this vanity features a white top with scalloped edges and bright blue and lavender towers along the back that hold surprises. Compartments are hiding things like castle rooms, jewelry, and animal friends featured in the film. Pull out the center drawer and lower the mirror to discover Princess Rosella's room and hear music from the movie. Even the top of the vanity stool opens, making it the perfect place to stash the included hairbrush when it's not being used.
Two in one fun allows girls to not just primp and role play, but to also use the vanity to reenact scenes from the movie, which includes new songs, with their favorite Barbie. Dolls are not included with this vanity set, but Princess Rosella and Prince Antonio can be purchased separately.
