(More customer reviews)It's official, today my little girl will turn four. With that in mind, you can imagine how excited she was to finally get the "Barbie" Elina Doll with light-up wings.
I hate to say it, but as a male adult who is almost thirty, I even find this doll to be pretty cool. First of all, the doll's wings light up via the use of fiber optic lighting much like that found on miniature Christmas trees. By pressing a button on her back, her wings flicker to life. She also comes with a little blue guy. I don't know his name, but I'm sure he's in the "Fairytopia" movie. We have that as well, but I haven't watched it yet.
Here's where I really get embarassed. This doll has some really cool boots that look to be made out of vines. They go all the way up to Elina's knees. She also has flowers "tattooed" all over her arms and legs.
In short, this is a really colorful doll that I'm sure any young girl(and some of us older dudes, too) would really enjoy. It's a sure hit with your young ones!

(More customer reviews)This is a pretty doll. The face and the hair and the wings are beautiful. I think I got a good deal for my money; however, the bodice of the doll is painted on. I thought it had regular take off/on clothes, but the bodice of the dress is actually painted on.

(More customer reviews)I love this doll! The wings are enormous, and she's much prettier then the old Elina. The wings are made of fabric, and let me warn you not to leave her as a mermaid to long or when you make her a fairy again her wings will look a bit crumply. Also, when in mermaid stage, her body does not bend. Don't force her to bend or she could brake. She's still fun even if she doesn't bend when a mermaid. And I advise that if you don't have room to store about 1 foot of space for this doll not to get it.

Elina is the beautiful fairy from "Fairytopia" that transforms into a lovely mermaid in the movie. She takes a journey to Mermaidia to save their prince and ward of the evil Laverna. In order to do this, Elina must make a sacrifice and give up her fairy wings for a mermaid's tail.
The beautiful Elina doll has large, 18" wings that easily transform into a fantastical mermaid tail and back again. Not suitable for water play. Colors and details may differ from those shown. Dolls cannot stand, swim or fly alone. Measures 12" tall.
