The idea of the lights looked cool on the TV, but doesnt look all that magical in person. Not to mention after a few baths, the lights on my daughters Krissy shell bed stopped working. I guess the batteries need to be changed every week or the bed is not meant to go in the water. (Try telling that to your 3 1/2 yr old girl..lol) Barbies waist is not meant to be turned. Twist her a bit too hard and she could break. Last but not least, the only thing that can really move on Barbie is her head and arms. Her lower torso cannot bend or move. But over all, "Its ok".

Barbie in A Mermaid Tale Blue Mermaid Review

(More customer reviews)This is one of three in a series of generic, low priced, bland mermaid dolls.
It doesn't have a lot of decoration or ornamentation and it is lacking the sparkle and details of other Barbie mermaid dolls currently available. It's marketed as being one of the 'costars' in the Barbie Mermaid Tale DVD but neither in this line resembles any of the characters in the DVD. She has a hard plastic tail, colored hair, and can bend in half to 'sit'.
For the price, she's a throwaway playtime doll - she doesn't have any of the useless gimmicks you pay extra for and therefore she's good for vanilla play. For the price (around $10), she's probably worth it. I think younger girls who don't demand dolls with all the silly bells and whistles will appreciate her.
But honestly, for a few dollars more, I'd suggest getting one of the newer and prettier mermaids out there. This short (squat) hard plastic mermaid just really feels very cheap.

(More customer reviews)I want to start my review by saying that this picture does not give the doll justice. If you want a good picture go to barbie.com. I think this doll is very preaty and I love her outfit and blue hair. The one thing I whould change is her legs, I don't like how the design is painted on,if it was tights I whould not mind. I whould like to add that I am 12 years old and I still love my barbies and I think this doll would make a fine addition to any collection.

(More customer reviews)This is specifically collectible item, so I can't understand why Mattell marked it as 6+. I would estimate it as 14+ because she's not very durable - and perhaps not that interesting for children. Her outfit doesn't come off and her hair is too gelled. Her wings are rather flimsy and fragile. In general, she's for displaying - not for playing.
In my opinion this is probably the only Fairytoipa character who looks better as doll than in the movie. Very beautiful. Yes, she is quite different from promo photo, but she's much prettier.

Barbie Pink Sparkle Fairy Fairytopia Review

(More customer reviews)I bought 2 of these for my granddaughter's. When they arrived I thought they were cute but wasn't sure what they could play with them. They knew better than me though.The dining room was turned into fairyland and they had so much fun playing fairies for the entire afternoon. These dolls seemed to really spark their imaginations and do everytime they come to visit grandma. The wings are fragile but they don't seem to mind. A cute doll for the price.

(More customer reviews)This doll has a pretty, and larger face (reminscent of Bratz dolls) than Barbie and with heavier makeup, fuller lips. She'll still fit into regular sized Barbie clothes though. Her body is glittery and she has on permanent "undergarments" so your kid can never strip her nude. If you try to undo the orange braided hair you'll wind up with a frizzful that you can try to comb out (may 4 year old thought she looked scary with the loopy braids)but it will still be a bit crimped in the front. The hair at the back is very nicely waved though.
The wings are heavily glued on with visible silicone.
Daughter liked the sunburst necklace bonus the best.

Fairytopia Little Lands Playset (Blue) Review

(More customer reviews)I let my 3 year old granddaughter pick out which Fairytopia playset she wanted herself, and she chose this one. On the plus side, she seems to really enjoy it, and plays with it for an hour or so at a time, even if she is playing by herself. It is very colorful, and has a lot of different moving parts to stimulate the imagination. On the down side, the swing does not want to stay in place, and falls off if you try to use it. Some of the pieces, including the 2 figures, are very small, and I would not recommend this for a child who puts everything in their mouth. Overall, I would rate it a good toy for the price, but not great.

(More customer reviews)My daughter saw this doll on TV and saved her tiny alowence up. Finally, we offered her a cash bonus for using the potty so she could get her fairy. That was the alsta accident she had. "Blue fairy" is a much loved and the first of the many barbie we now owe. I was amazed by the joints, the details, and the overall quality of these dolls. It's absolutley beautiful and the sparkle shirt has not come off at all. (I expected it to wear off with in weeks.) The only 2 flaws were the hair (we did not take it out of the pony tail as I could see it was not meant to be brushed) and the wings would break very easily. Oh, and blue fairies bite. Really, they do. However after a month or so in the home, the biting stops (or so I am told). Beware, the pink fairies also bite when they first come home...

Barbie Fairytopia Dahlia Review

Other than Elina, these are the only character dolls from the movie. They are very cute. The wings don't seem very sturdy, they are glued on and a 4 year old could pull them off easily. Otherwise, very cute and sparks her imagination.

I was able to superglue them back on for my daughter so she can still play with them, but I was very disappointed with the quality.

(More customer reviews)We got this and some of the other colors of these little dolls for my almost 6yr daughter (the fairy-girl). She loves them, the dolls are about the same size as a polly doll but fairies with there own little flower house. She uses them by themselves or with many of her other toys (full sized Barbies, Pollys and even my little pony). Well made, colorful, and the cloths go on and off easy. She has liked this toy so much that it is now one of her fav. to give friends for birthday presents.
