(More customer reviews)This thing was so cheap there was no way I wouldn't buy it. Yeah it is a boy with fairy wings... But it looks better in person, there have to be boy fairies to after-all. It isn't a bad Barbie and my daughter needed more male barbies. The price couldn't have been better under 2 dollars seriously! In general it's like all other male barbies just with wings.

Barbie Fairytopia Magic of the Rainbow: Sunburst Review

(More customer reviews)This doll has a pretty, and larger face (reminscent of Bratz dolls) than Barbie and with heavier makeup, fuller lips. She'll still fit into regular sized Barbie clothes though. Her body is glittery and she has on permanent "undergarments" so your kid can never strip her nude. If you try to undo the orange braided hair you'll wind up with a frizzful that you can try to comb out (may 4 year old thought she looked scary with the loopy braids)but it will still be a bit crimped in the front. The hair at the back is very nicely waved though.
The wings are heavily glued on with visible silicone.
Daughter liked the sunburst necklace bonus the best.

Barbie Fairytopia Pink Fairy Doll Review

(More customer reviews)We bought this for our daughter because the price was reasonable and the cool hair color caught her eye, however within 10 minutes of playing with her, the wings broke off her back. They are not removable wings and the result of the wings breaking off was a sharp plastic barb sticking out it's back. We thought it was a fluke, so we went back to the store and tried to pick up a new one. They had sold out of the blue ones, so we ended up getting a pink one. To our surprise, the wings broke off the next day with the same post "barb" sticking out of her back. Needless to say, she does not play with this doll any more. Oh - and it's dissapointing to me that most of the new Barbie dolls don't come with removable outfits. This doll only has a cheep tutu. The rest is painted on. I don't even remember it having any shoes! Just wanted to let everyone know...

As the previous reveiw said, (about the tiara) it is sewn into her head so warn your children about it. the wings are made of a flexible plastic and they can take a beating. likewise, the Fairytopia Magic of the Rainbow
Glee, Sunburst and Lumina dolls can take a beating as well. the clothing is great, for show dolls I am working on making a dress by hand simalar to this (my mother wants me to start my own clothing line)
The makeup is fantasticand expresses Mariposa well and i love it. i want to get all the dolls in this collection.

(More customer reviews)Think twice before buying this Barbie. I bought two for my girls on Valentine's Day. On one barbie, the plastic clip broke the second I tried to snap the wing on. On the other barbie, the wings haven't broken (yet), but they fall off all the time. With three children under the age of five, I don't have time to stop every seven seconds to refasten the wings. And it's not easy. It takes concerted effort and thought to snap those suckers in! I'd return the darn things, but I had to rip the box apart just to get the doll and her enormous wings out.

Barbie Fairytopia Magic of the Rainbow: Rainbow Adventure - Elina & DVD Game (African American) Review

(More customer reviews)This game is a great alternative to the TV remote which might be too confusing for youngsters. They can even pretend Elina's really flying through Fairytopia by pressing a butterfly shaped button on her back which makes her wings flap back and forth.
The Rainbow Adventure games on this DVD are also on the Barbie Fairytopia - Magic of the Rainbow DVD, and the Bibble Singing Game from the Barbie Fairytopia: Mermaidia DVD is also included. You can use this remote/doll with those DVDs too or any other DVD where selections are listed to the left or the right.
Programing the doll was quick and simple. You can read the instructions that are included or you can watch the set-up portion of the video. I have set it for one DVD player and reset it again for a different DVD player with no problems.
Some tips to keep in mind when using the doll/remote:
Always keep the doll facing the DVD player's sensor so that it can read her movements.
Make sure that her hair does not cover the sensor when she's tilted to the left or right.
When you tilt the doll to the right or left the red light in her necklace will light up to show you that it's working.

(More customer reviews)This is why I like Toys R Us. Their prices may be a little high sometimes but they get all the special toys. I got Marabella there for $20. I guess I had good timing. Personally I think the Queen is my favorite of the Mariposa series Barbies. Her dress is beautiful (though the little butterfly wing apron on the sides tends to flip up) and she has a very elaborate hairstyle. She also comes with purple shoes which Rayna, Rayla, and Willa do not. I'm not entirely sure if her wings are supposed to come off but I'd prefer they didn't anyway. The removeable wings tend to pop off all by themselves after a while. If you can get ahold of Queen Marabella I highly recommend her.
