(More customer reviews)I know I'm supposed to tell how much my children love this toy. The fact is I love Baby Stella. It's the first doll I've bought for my baby 9-month old twins, and they're still a little skeptical. Stella is about a foot tall (Product Description says 15 inches but mine is 12). My babies haven't seen anything like this before, and she looks like them in a way.
They hold Stella as if they love her and then they throw her. They also like to pull Stella's pacifier off. That's fun for them. This pacifier is way too big for my babies' mouths so it's not dangerous at this stage. You can loop your finger or thumb through the handle of the pacifier. The pacifier has a magnet and locks on pretty tightly to Stella's mouth. My babies are not at the stage where they try to put the pacifier back on.
Stella's belly and feet feel as if she has little round crunchy things inside like barley or buckwheat. All the rest of her (head, arms and legs) are made of thick foam inside. She has seven tiny strips coming out of the top of her head - her hair. They like to put any part of her in their mouths and we wonder if they're kissing Stella. They haven't discovered that they can take her clothes, including her diaper off. Those are held by velcro in some places, but in a way that seems seamless. I think it will be awhile before they find that out.
My guess is they'll love this doll as much as I do. And I've never loved a doll either. It's just such a joy to buy your girl's first doll. Others have said I should get two. I hadn't thought of that earlier for some reason. If you see me with another review and that Amazon Verified Purchase logo, you'll know what happened.

(More customer reviews)We bought this baby for our 12 month old son for Christmas because it was one of the only babies we could find that was 100% cloth and soft. It is perfect! It is so soft and cute, he likes the little tuft of hair and the diaper, and he is always hugging it. We started keeping it in his crib at about 15 months, and it quickly became his first "lovey" and now he wants to sleep with it at all naps and bedtimes. It has held up very well over this first year, although I have not tried to wash it yet. I highly recommend it.

(More customer reviews)We have had this doll for a year. And the first thing my toddler did was take all of it's clothes off. If possible do not remove the stitch that attaches the hat. You will never get it to stay on once you do, so ours is lost. Very very soft material and great for hugging. Good size for doll strollers and the diaper and shirt has velcro fasteners so it's easy for a small child to dress. This would be a great doll for a child who has a new brother or sister. Then they can have a new baby too :) Especially with the id bracelet it's very special.

North American Bear Company Rosy Cheeks Big Sister Blonde Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this doll for my 3 year old's birthday. She has loved it from the moment she took it out of the box. It is adorable, super soft, and very well made. I was a bit disappointed to notice the yarn hair seems to be unraveling after just a few days use. It makes the hair look wavy on the ends (and I assume eventually it will all just look wavy). Other than that it is holding up well. I've purchased the red head for my 6 year old's birthday (she liked her sister's so much) and my 4 year old is excited to play with them all. We also bought the clothing to go with it. The outfits seem well made, durable and fairly priced. The PJs are just too cute to pass up and my personal favorite. (although my 3 year old prefers the beach outfit.) All in all, a great buy for any little girl any age.After a few months use, the pony tails have come undone...in an attempt to fix them, they are no longer attached to her head, therefore, do not lay nicely like in the picture (they tend to 'scoot' to the top of her head). The other dolls we bought (we've bought all 4) have not had this problem, although they are not played with by a 3 year old...but the blond is the only one with pigtails, so perhaps that IS the problem. Still love the doll...just wish it still looked nice.

She used it right away. It comfortably fit her 12 inch and 14 inch doll. My daughter is tall for her age, around 45 inches and close to fifty pounds and this sling still fit her. The only problem with the sling is that it appears to limit some arm movements when worn. The pattern and fabric are beautiful and light weight, easily washable. I am happy with the purchase because it will support immaginative play.

(More customer reviews)"Rosey" has been part of our lives for almost 3 years now. I gave this baby doll to my granddaughter for her 1st birthday in December 2005, and immediately became 'the' toy. Rosey travels everywhere with her, is her sleep companion and companion in all play. She washes up beautifully- right in the washer (we have a front load, so no agitator - I would put her in a bag if there is an agitator on your machine, but I still think she would fare well - I believe the other household she spends 50% of her time in has an agitator type machine) - and goes in the dryer as well. We got rid of the bracelet early on... the baby wasn't crazy about it... it was 'scratchy', on an otherwise terrifically cuddly doll (an older child may like it, it is a cute accessory - but we haven't missed it any). The stitched details are wonderful, defining fingers, toes, belly button and tush - very cute. The hair ribbon was lost almost immediately, but not missed at all. The hat is attached, and still upon her head, complete with ribbon, which hasn't even frayed a bit in the MANY washings over the years! I have been extremely pleased with the durability of this little doll with all the loving (and occasionally not so loving) constant attention she receives. I would recommend this doll to all Grandma's out there looking for a "snuggly" she hopes will become her granddaughter's favorite! I had found our Rosie in a specialty boutique, and now that I have found her online, I may just have to buy a few to have on hand in my 'gift box' for new babies, special people birthdays etc - she is well worth the price! UPDATE: 1/4/2011 - This doll is STILL a favorite and STILL holding up beautifully!

Although it only has a small amount of red hair it's still what I was looking for so that my red haired daughter could feel like the baby doll looked like her. My daughter is almost two so I am also glad that it has stitched eyes and mouth. A little button nose, and outie bellybutton also make it cute. It's a perfect size and very soft and squishy. Great first doll! Also good "hospital" baby if your child will be expecting a sibling as it has a cap and hospital bracelet.
