The Stella doll BARELY fits into the straps on the carrier, which are made with the smallest pieces of velcro allowable to hold the weight of the Stella doll. The backpack itself can hold an outfit & a couple of accessories. It seems to be modeled after the A.G. bitty baby version, but is much smaller & cheaper-made. My 2 yr. old likes to wear it without Stella on board.

(More customer reviews)I know I'm supposed to tell how much my children love this toy. The fact is I love Baby Stella. It's the first doll I've bought for my baby 9-month old twins, and they're still a little skeptical. Stella is about a foot tall (Product Description says 15 inches but mine is 12). My babies haven't seen anything like this before, and she looks like them in a way.
They hold Stella as if they love her and then they throw her. They also like to pull Stella's pacifier off. That's fun for them. This pacifier is way too big for my babies' mouths so it's not dangerous at this stage. You can loop your finger or thumb through the handle of the pacifier. The pacifier has a magnet and locks on pretty tightly to Stella's mouth. My babies are not at the stage where they try to put the pacifier back on.
Stella's belly and feet feel as if she has little round crunchy things inside like barley or buckwheat. All the rest of her (head, arms and legs) are made of thick foam inside. She has seven tiny strips coming out of the top of her head - her hair. They like to put any part of her in their mouths and we wonder if they're kissing Stella. They haven't discovered that they can take her clothes, including her diaper off. Those are held by velcro in some places, but in a way that seems seamless. I think it will be awhile before they find that out.
My guess is they'll love this doll as much as I do. And I've never loved a doll either. It's just such a joy to buy your girl's first doll. Others have said I should get two. I hadn't thought of that earlier for some reason. If you see me with another review and that Amazon Verified Purchase logo, you'll know what happened.

(More customer reviews)We bought this baby for our 12 month old son for Christmas because it was one of the only babies we could find that was 100% cloth and soft. It is perfect! It is so soft and cute, he likes the little tuft of hair and the diaper, and he is always hugging it. We started keeping it in his crib at about 15 months, and it quickly became his first "lovey" and now he wants to sleep with it at all naps and bedtimes. It has held up very well over this first year, although I have not tried to wash it yet. I highly recommend it.

The body is soft and cuddly, and she still has that sweet vanilla smell that all the Corolle babies have even a year later. My daughter takes it everywhere and sleeps with it. Very durable- ours has even been in the sandbox! Her little dress does come off and is washable. Her face cleans up easily too. (More customer reviews)I can remember this time last year shopping for our 3 month baby girl for Christmas. I wanted to get her a baby doll that was just perfect. I was brought back to this doll because of the reviews and I have to say that they were all right!! This doll has served its purpose over and over. The soft doll became like "the blanket" to her. She loves the silky edge on the dolls dress. I have also washed it numerous times and was surprised that it didn't get that "washed" look to it. She still sleeps with this doll and prefers it over all of her toys. This is our 3rd daughter. I wish my other girls had had a doll like this. I know you will be happy with this baby!!

'June' Camden Doll, 11"-12" Natural Waldorf Doll, Red Hair, Brown Eyes Review

I ordered it on "Cyber Monday" and it's only Thursday so super-fast processing and shipping, great job Palumba! This is toy looks to be very durable, the cloth is thick and strong and the colors are rich, not too bright or garish. This goes for both the clothes and the doll. I ordered an extra dress, pink overalls, and duckie pajamas to go with the doll, the clothing is affordable, about $15 for an outfit and only $9.99 for the pajamas. I am very happy with my purchase and 12 inches is a perfect size for a toddler to grow with, not to big for her to carry but not to small that she will out-grow it later. The only thing I'm not sure I like is that she is not as "squishy" as I thought she would be, she's thick but not as huggable as I imagined. I doubt my little girl will mind though. I showed her a picture of her online and she broke into a smile and started clapping, so I think she's going to like her! Hopefully this means she will be tough enough to stand up to a toddler's abuse, she certainly seems well put together and the stitching is tight and not visible. She was less expensive than most Waldorf dolls and she is a "fair-trade" all-natural materials item as well, so this doll is a good buy imho.
