(More customer reviews)I bought this for my daughter just before she turned 2, and a year later it is still her favorite. The body is soft and cuddly, and she still has that sweet vanilla smell that all the Corolle babies have even a year later. My daughter takes it everywhere and sleeps with it. Very durable- ours has even been in the sandbox! Her little dress does come off and is washable. Her face cleans up easily too. We love this brand and are planning on adding Tidoo (the bath doll) to the family this year!

I had been looking for a sweet baby doll for her that was just a classic baby doll, no sounds or movements, but one she had to use her imagination. This doll is perfect for just that! The day it arrived my husband and I gave the doll box to her ( very sweet packaging and tied with ribbon instead of plastic cords) and let her open it, she immediately said "baby!" and gave it kisses and wanted to pull it out and hug the baby doll. She held it tight and immediately took it to nap time with her. It has a very sweet face, reminds me of the vintage porcelain baby dolls. And it is a nice small size for a young toddler. Also it is soft and slightly weighted so you can sit it up and have a tea party or in a doll stroller. The construction seems really good. I don't worry about the head popping off or it falling apart. I already plan to buy another Madame Alexander when the time comes to buy her another play doll.

She is the perfect little doll for her to carry around, sing to sleep and take care of. My daughter loves her. And, it is so wonderful that she smells lightly of vanilla. Not overwhelming or overpowering at all. Just a wonderful doll. I am going to buy her another corolle doll next, the bigger size.

Corolle Tidoo Poppy, Baby Doll Review

(More customer reviews)We love Corolle dolls and with three little ones corolle dollies abound in our house. However, I would have to say the little boy Tidoo doll (different colored outfit from this one) I bought for my son last Christmas is the least favorite. My son likes him just fine. I am disappointed though. The body is way under stuffed. Maybe they make him that way so he will dry faster. But what ends up happening is that he doesn't fit clothes well. The jeans and sweater set from Corolle we purchased slips off from around the waist because there isn't hardly anything there. In addition to the fact that he can't sit at all. He just slumps over. And he hardly weighs anything. I bought one of the regular 12" Corolle dolls for my neice and couldn't believe the difference in feel of her and how well the clothes fit and how she sat up. I wish I had gotten my son a different Corolle doll. The others have all be absolutely beautiful in every way (we have Bebe Do, Charmeur, Chou twins, and two Les Cheries).

I recommend this one and the others to anyone interested in collecting. Since I am a grandma it was only fitting for me to have this girl. So pretty and well made right down to the embroidery on the dress.
