(More customer reviews)As the mother of a little girl I have alot of experience when it comes to plastic playsets, sadly most of them have little attention to detail and are poorly made, my daugther started eyeing this when it first came out in the stores and asking for it. She just received it for her birthday and I think I was almost as impressed with it as she is in love with it.
The attention to detail is amazing on a $20 plastic toy, working lights (batteries included!), mail box that opens (and is full of letters actually addressed to different ponies), working drawer w/ bottles inside that snap onto the top, little shower brush, etc.
She's been playing with it and the smaller ponyville sets I got her nonstop for days, excellent value!

Melissa & Doug Multi-Level Wooden Dollhouse Review

(More customer reviews)We bought this dollhouse last Christmas for my daughter, who was 2 1/2. She has really enjoyed playing with it this year, and I suspect she'll keep playing with it for many years to come. My son, who is 1, enjoys climbing it (not my favorite use of the dollhouse).
I like that the inside is pretty plain/neutral (too bad the outside isn't also) and that it came with a decent amount of furniture and dolls. My daughter also plays with little princess dolls in it, so don't feel like you're limited to what comes with the set--they will find other things to use in the house--ponies, pom-poms, whatetver.
The top part (the roof) does come off sometimes and I have to pop it back on. If I would get some glue to "reinforce" it then that probably would stop happening. It makes it a bit tricky to move. Also, because of the balconies and steps, it's hard to put the house up against the wall. You can take them off if you want to keep it that way.
I bought this on amazon for one price (around Black Friday), and later they lowered it significantly. Keep an eye on the price, because it fluctuates a lot.

Bratz: Splash 'n' Dance Pool Party Playset Review

(More customer reviews)This is the most horrible toy ever. Ever. Never again will I buy Bratz. Not only is it overpriced, but it also is a ridiculous waste of money. If you fill up the pool with water, the dolls get absoulutely ruined. The hair all messed up and knotted and disgusting, and the tiki bar is really stupid. The things are so small, they get lost and it didn't catch my daughter's interest for one second. And after you fill it up with water and play with it and take out the water, the whole thing starts smelling, rotting and peeling. Absoulutely horrible.

It includes furnishings, almost too many. Some of the furnishings are of a lesser quality, but I consider these to be minor defects. (More customer reviews)My daughter just turned 5, and she's been really wanting a dollhouse big enough for her Barbies for a little while now. I did a lot of searching to find this one. Not only did I want something durable and cute, but affordable. I was just going to give in and go with the Barbie one, but it cost a lot more and most reviews I read said it was not the most durable of dollhouses. This one had great reviews, and I see why. It took my husband an hour to put it together, but I can see that it's going to hold up and withstand the torture that my daughter and sons put it through (they literally "love" their toys to death!). She got it Wednesday, and it's been played with for hours everyday so far. The kids think it's great that there are three floors, one for each of them to play on! They love the stairs, and have now asked if we can sell our house and buy one with spiral stairs like it. Ummmm.....yeah. Ken immediately had to take a nap on his new bed, and Barbie had to put on her best dress to have dinner in the new house. Even my youngest son's G.I. Joe toys love the couch! This house is definitely a great deal, and I can see it being a staple in our playroom for a while to come!

(More customer reviews)The box says "Mansions in Miniature", not mansion in minutes. Nothing on the box indicates this is a project that can be put together in an afternoon, or even a week or two. Look at the list of recommended tools that you should assemble before even beginning! It is designed to be an heirloom or collectible, and anyone who thinks a child could move a 25 lb. house around is kidding themselves. This is not a toy! It is for the serious miniaturist. I certainly wouldn't be letting my 6-year old play with something this delicate and difficult to assemble.

Kidkraft Suite Elite Dollhouse Review

(More customer reviews)My girls are 9 and 7 and have wanted a giant dollhouse for a long time so I was happy to be able to try this out. It is pretty tall and made of pressed wood, but not that difficult to put together (time consuming more than anything).
The furniture is small, too small for a Barbie, but Barbies are supermodels and are probably used to furniture that is too small for them. My girls don't mind, however, everyone lives in the "Mansion" as they call it. Barbies, Little People, Lego people, it doesn't matter, if it has a face, it moves in. I'm thinking it's turning into more of a frat house so I do need to keep an eye on that.
Back to the actual toy: It's not super durable, it's made of pressed wood (sawdust that is pressed together to a thick cardboard type material) but the scenery is already stamped on. It took a little time and effort to get it together, but nothing major, anyone could do it with patience. It does include a houseful of furniture which I think is a great bargain. My kids are creative and have used it to build a small village, they will get a TON of use out of it. The best part is the elevator, they absolutely LOVE it and think it is the coolest thing ever. I remember my Barbie Townhouse when I was a kid had an elevator and I felt the same way.
So, if you're creative and have kid who are too, they will love this house and with care and supervision (no climbing on it or putting anything with water inside), it should last a long time and get PLENTY of use.

(More customer reviews)We got this doll house for our daughter for Christmas. It is one of her favorite toys! It takes up less room than barbies and she plays for hours and hours. There are a lot of additional sets to buy, but the nice thing is that all of the funiture (including the family car) can fit in the doll house making for easy clean up. Our daughter absolutely loves it and is saving her pennies to buy more furniture for the house. Some of the objects make sounds which my daughter just love and it is so ammusing to watch her play. The only problem I have found is with the family van, the doors on it always and forever are falling off. It gets a little annoying to reatch them again and again, but that would have to be my only complaint. Her creativty errupts from the moment she opens the house, trying to decide what goes where. Then her little family takes outings has meals, etc. My daughter is only 3 and I can tell we will get plenty of use out of this toy. There are really just not enought good things to say about this doll house. Easy clean up, great play time- you cannot go wrong with this purchase. Some of the extra furniture sets can be on the pricey side, around $15-20 a set; but I told my family we were gettin the house which came with 3 sets and the family each purchased a set or two and now she has plenty. I just love that it spurs her creativity; again you cannot go wrong with this toy.

She loves this because Strawberry is about the size of her Pollys, another favorite, and smells really, really good. She also loves the little shelf and pieces, and yes while they are insanely small, anyone used to Polly Pockets is used to that and shes been playing with those for years so this was no big jump for us. She's happy with this set and it fit right in with her Pollys!

She loved it and played with nothing else for the entire day.
