(More customer reviews)As the mother of a little girl I have alot of experience when it comes to plastic playsets, sadly most of them have little attention to detail and are poorly made, my daugther started eyeing this when it first came out in the stores and asking for it. She just received it for her birthday and I think I was almost as impressed with it as she is in love with it.
The attention to detail is amazing on a $20 plastic toy, working lights (batteries included!), mail box that opens (and is full of letters actually addressed to different ponies), working drawer w/ bottles inside that snap onto the top, little shower brush, etc.
She's been playing with it and the smaller ponyville sets I got her nonstop for days, excellent value!

Breyer Lisa and Prancer Gift Set Review

(More customer reviews)The horse in this set is a nice, standard Breyer horse. I have no complaints--even the tack is pretty cute. The Lisa doll, however, is a total piece of junk. She broke the first time my daughter played with her. Her legs are made out of flimsy plastic that are supposed to snap together on either side of an ariculating hip. The one we got split open immediately and will not stay together. I was going to go through the hassle of returning it, but my husband is planning to glue together the brand-new, overpriced toy. I am very disappointed with this product.

Polly Pocket Horsing Around Playset Review

It has been the most played with of all the sets we've ever bought, I think in large part to the ponies. The coral is actually a little bigger than I thought it would be and it folds up even while connected, which is really nice since my kids don't always like to take the time to put things together correctly before playing. I think it's very cute and a great gift for the horse lover!

(More customer reviews)This toy has some neat features that are helpful for playing. It has loops on the reigns to put the dolls hands into. And the saddle has stirrups for putting in the feet so it really helps to keep the doll on the horse while playing. It's also a nice big horse. It makes sounds (galloping & whinnying), which I didn't realize, but it ended up being okay because the volume is at a nice level and it only makes sounds if you push the button. It feels like there are some kind of supports in the legs and this is helpful in making the horse stand upright. This was a great Christmas present and my girls play with it often.

Great Spirit Horse Review

Sculpted in 1978 by Chris Hess, this mold has been popular with Breyer collectors for 25 years. With his flashy new paint job, he's sure to make an appearance at many collector shows. His calm walking pose makes him a good choice for beginning showers interested in performance classes.
Recommended for ages 8 and up, he's sure to find his way to Barbie's pasture, as well as the show ring. It is important to remember, however, that because he is hand painted he is likely to suffer a few "rubs" and scratches in the hands of smaller collectors. While his legs are a bit thicker than the smaller sized models, they will snap with enough pressure.
For a great gift idea, wrap him up with a book from the Thoroughbred or Saddle Club series.

Disney Enchanted Tales Musical Carousel Coach Playset Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this toy for my daughter for her 5th birthday. She loves the disney princesses and I thought it would be nice for her to have this. I also bought 2 disney princess dolls so she could put them inside the carousel part of the toy. I bought Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. Immediately when I opened the box, I realized the toy was pretty fragile and looks like it can break easily. If you have kids that play rough, this toy may not last too long.
I also noticed that the box said you could fit 2 dolls inside. While this is true, its a little hard to put the dolls inside, because they just fit perfectly.
Finally, I was under the impression that the carraige part, or the carousel part would spin on its own perhaps by pushing a button. In reality, you have to push or move the horse and carousel and then it will spin around. There is also only one song that plays and it can be annoying after a child plays with the toy for a long time. My daughter also has to crawl along with the toy as she moves it along the floor for it to spin and play the music which isn't very comfortable for long so I don't think she will play with it for more than a few minutes at a time.
Overall, my daughter does play with it and its an ok toy, but I wouldn't spend more than $10 or $15 for it.

Loving Family Sugar English Horse Review

(More customer reviews)My children absolutely love these horses. I bought three of them, one for each of my daughters aged 5,4 and 2 and they play with them everyday. I certainly got my moneys worth with these. Speaking of which, anyone who would pay what these vendors are asking for this toy, are absolutely out-of-their minds. What for fool would charge this price when you can go to your local Walmart and buy them for under $10. You must be kidding. Anyway, the only thing negative that I have to say about these is that they don't stand up on carpet. You have to put something under them like a book or something flat so they will stand up. I would highly recommend these for the young horse lover in your home.

Luckily, the horse has an attractive long mane and pretty bridle so you can easily cover up the terrible eyes. The horse over is stunning though, she is tall with cute glittery hooves, long flowing hair and a lovely dished face that make her look like an Arabian. If youy are wondering why I rated like I did, here it is.
fun-5 stars,I only display this horse but I'm sure she would be fun to groom and play with
educational value-this horse has bad conformation and the tack is not accurate, so I do not think this horse has any educational value
duarability- 4 stars, her coat can scratch fairly easy

The tack which comes with this horse is also the best I have seen in Barbie toy horses. The bridle is plastic and fairly ordinary, but the reins are actual fabric- faux leather- which is a nice touch. The reins come tightly curled in a coil and tend to want to curl up but it is easy to fix this- just place them straightened underneath a heavy book for at least one day and they are fine. The saddle I love. It is a western saddle, ornately decorated and with great attention to detail. The saddle pad is a simple blue fabric square. The saddle bags are also nice. The pockets really open and have velcro to securely close them, and you can store the beads in them. They are also decorated with decorative stitching, again showing attention to detail. The blue blanket shown rolled up on the saddle bags is secured there by two pieces of elastic, and can be taken out and unrolled. It unrolls to be around the size of the saddle pad.
One more thing- the box this horse comes in is not shown in any of the Amazon pictures, but should be, as the inside part (the part which slides out) is made out of sturdy cardboard and is made to look like a stable. It has slatted gates for stable doors which swing open and closed, and the inside is designed to look like a stable, from the 'hay' on the floor to the photos 'stuck' to the walls. It also has a huge window thing at the back of the stable which is covered with a piece of translucent plastic, which shows a scene of the beach. It looks as if you are looking out of the stable onto a beach. It is really nice. It is not very deep, probably about 20 or so centimetres (8 inches), but has generous height and width.
This is a really cool toy and I really enjoy having it. Recommended!

Barbie Stable Styles Playset Review

(More customer reviews)My main concern when purchasing this horse was how easy it would be to change out the head and tail,however that was not a problem.There is a button on the chest of the horse you press and it releases the head and tail and then you just slip the different ones back on.Easy enough for my daughter to do by herself.This is a very nice looking horse,the blanket,saddle,reigns and horse shoes add a realistic touch for added fun.I did have a few small issues with the horse,there is always room for improvement as we all know after buying toys.First is the fact that one of the front legs is raised.This looks very nice and the horse can stand on its own but tips over easier than it would have with all four hooves on the ground.The other thing is the horse shoes.Although cute and a very nice touch they just will not stay on which can be frustrating. Even with these two flaws I feel that this horse is worth the money.In my opinion it is one of the nicer looking Barbie horses and definately has the unique option of changing out its look.My daughter loved it and we are very pleased.

Breyer Rambo Blanket Review

The picture does not depict that at all but when I ordered, I kept in mind that it was indeed a purple blanket and not greenish. I was, in fact, disappointed that it was purportedly purple so I was very happy to see for myself that it is indeed not purple but greenish as it looks in the picture. :) It looks EXACTLY as it does in the picture. I don't know how well it holds up or ease of use or anything yet as it is a gift for Christmas. So if I hear how it performs I will update my review. Very pleased with this item so far, though.

"All the horses are flocked. The colors are beautiful. You can play lots of games with them. I like to play horse rescue games. All the compartments have pictures in the background."
I'll add that this set has absolutely enchanted her, to the point where she doesn't play with her larger-sized horses any more. That may change, but this toy is a winner.
