(More customer reviews)As the mother of a little girl I have alot of experience when it comes to plastic playsets, sadly most of them have little attention to detail and are poorly made, my daugther started eyeing this when it first came out in the stores and asking for it. She just received it for her birthday and I think I was almost as impressed with it as she is in love with it.
The attention to detail is amazing on a $20 plastic toy, working lights (batteries included!), mail box that opens (and is full of letters actually addressed to different ponies), working drawer w/ bottles inside that snap onto the top, little shower brush, etc.
She's been playing with it and the smaller ponyville sets I got her nonstop for days, excellent value!

The only reason I would not give this item great ratings accross the board is because buying the food can get really expensive. The doll is really fun to play with so kids like to feed it several times a day. That can get really pricey. I know some people use food coloring and water as a substitute but that does not have the baby food consistency that the kids love. The best recipe I have found so far uses a health food item. [...]

Hair: Just like in above pic. Do not pay attention to Hasbro pics- she has had some pro stylin' done.
Eyes: Just like above pic. They look more greenish in Hasbro pics on the outside of the box...I guess they were doctored for the Hasbro pics, because when I checked out the doll's eyes in the sunlight, I did not notice any green flecks at all. Do not get me wrong- the eyes somehow do have a slight green cast to them in certain lighting situations. They remind me of a lake on a fall day.
Outfit: Easy to get on, has velcro at back.
Shoes: Easy to get on, but fall off easily, unlike our other Blythe dolls' shoes.
Necklace: Looks like it can be removed, but we have decided to leave it on, unless my younger daughter gets to it somehow. Wish it was iridescent. Will update this review if necklace comes off and report if it is easy or not easy to get back on doll.
Accessories: All accessories fit well on doll/pets or are held well by doll. There's a leash, headband, rose "barrette", two pairs of sunglasses, purse that does not open, a small cardboard map of France, and a cardboard shopping bag.
Note: The inner box scene that the items are secured in can be utilized as a cafe/boutique if you remove all items very carefully and tweak the included little stools (we cut the legs a bit to make them stand up straight and to add more support).
Star ratings: Four for ed value because a kid can become educated in geography, French culture, history (my daughter tried to make a paper Marie Antoinette wig for the dog; we are now experimenting with a cottonball wig). Five stars for durability because our other Blythe dolls are holding up to the rigors of a three-year-old.
All in all, a beautiful little gal that does not look down upon Americans and keeps her svelte figure by not eating too much brioche.

(More customer reviews)My 8 year old daughter has renewed interest in babies since several friends have baby sisters and brothers. We got her Baby All Gone, and she just loves her! The doll's voice is clear and easily understandable. She has a darling expression, and cute, well-constructed clothes. One thing that really delighted my daughter is that one of the many phrases Baby All Gone says is a burp! She thinks that is just so funny! The spoon with the bananas and the bowl work well, and the bottle is typical of the "disappearing drink" bottles. Baby All Gone does not wet, but I'm just as glad. We also found that you can use other baby doll sized bottles to feed Baby All Gone, so she can have Milk or Juice or whatever you have in a baby doll bottle. I would certainly recommend this doll for girls between 3-9. A girl who is interested in babies and their care will just love this doll.

My Little Pony Make me Better with Rarity the Unicorn Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great toy that my daughter loves. It has various sensor pads over its body, that when pressed evoke a response. So for example, when you blow its nose with the hankies provided the pony will respond by blowing and thanking you for doing so. (One of the reviews mistakenly suggests that you can't get to the two hankies. They come packaged between a sheet of plastic to keep them still for display purposes while packaged, but if you put your finger inside the tissue box you can pull them out quite easily and use them). Each sensor point has at least two different responses each time they are activated, so that keeps it from becoming too predictable and repetitive for a child.
It comes with a thermometer, medicine dispenser, stethoscope and two handkerchiefs. Its diaper and the Band-Aid are partially fixed to the toy, which is great because the Band-Aid would have been lost by now and my daughter has no problem "changing its diaper" and re-attaching the Velcro (I'm usually stuck having to do it with her other toys where the diaper comes off completely).
I would only give it 4 stars because there is no off switch. When my daughter just wants to take it to bed or hug it, she is met with a barrage of phrases, because sensors are being activated. In the end I had to take the batteries out so she could hug it and take it to bed without being woken up. Overall it's a great toy and makes an excellent gift for a child aged 2 - 6 years old.

Strawberry Shortcake Fashion Doll - Lemon Meringue set Review

(More customer reviews)My daughter is an ardent fan of Strawberry Shortcake, and she has many of the dolls (in various sizes). This Lemon Meringue doll is beautiful with a cute outfit (the striped leggings are adorable), and comes with several accessories. The accessories are small and can easily be mislaid, but it doesn't really bother my daughter as she is always more interested in the doll itself. Lemon Meringue has the most lustrous golden hair and my daughter enjoys combing it out. The doll has moveable arms and legs so this makes for easy play and posing is not a problem.
That being said, part of the charm in the Strawberry Shortcake series of dolls is the wonderful signature scent unique to each doll. I found that these series of dolls (we also own Blueberry Muffin) do not have as strong a scent as the smaller dolls/ figurines. The strongest scent is on the hair and face of the doll, and one has to take a really strong whiff to get the scent. It would have been nice if the dolls had been more generously scented as this is part of the attraction in the Strawberry Shortcake dolls. Other than that, this is a charming toy and will be a great addition to an SS fan's collection.

The doll itself is awesome, and my daughter loves playing with all of the strawberry shortcake girls using great imagination. The one downfall to this doll is the very marketing tool used to sell it, and that is the wand to change the doll's hair color. It takes too long to make the ice to change hair color. By the time it freezes, my daughter has lost interest! Then as soon as the hair changes color with the wand, she wants it back to the original. So, in theory it is good, but not so much in reality. However, I don't want to disway anyone from buying this product because it is an adorable doll, and is a great addition to any collection. Maybe my daughter doesn't have the attention span like another 4 year old, and the wand would be fun for another.

(More customer reviews)I got this set on Target a few weeks ago and they're very cute and very nice quality. Princess Celestia isn't the correct colors, but that's not a huge deal. They're fairly large and durable so they'd be good for smaller children to play with. They also come with a cute story book that is a shortened version of the first two episodes of the show. I'm hoping they'll release another set of these with the other characters. They left out Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Night Mare Moon so they'd make a good second set. They're releasing some singles of the ponies with brushable hair, but I actually like the molded hair because they look like they do in the cartoon. The only bad point is they are way over-priced on here. They retail for $19.99, so you shouldn't have to pay more than that.

I found a My Little Pony one day and said "I did not even know they made these anymore!" Well that was 5 years ago and now my daughters collection has grown to over 200 ponies and many of the accessories. She loves to decorate her room with anything horse or pony, and this is just a beautiful item. Personally this is not one we consider for play. If you are a collector, then this pony is a very nice addition for you.
